Welcome to your property search in Lane County! As a resident since the late 60's, my in-depth knowledge of local neighborhoods and property values is an asset for people moving in or out of the area. The cities of Eugene and Springfield are centrally located in the Willamette Valley and have the convenience of both the Oregon Coast and the beautiful Cascade mountain range just an hour away. With our overall mild climate, great areas for recreation, home of the University of Oregon and Oregon Duck football team, the area appeals to most visitors. Commute time to downtown is still only twenty minutes from many outlining areas that are ten to fifteen miles away. Eugene's LTD Bus Service and numerous bike paths also make Eugene a desirable place for those that prefer to commute by means other than the car.
As a real estate broker with Barnhart Associates, I understand the difficulties of relocating and transitioning into a new community. Whether it's a move across town, or across the country, I take great pride in smoothing the way. My honesty, integrity, work ethic and sincere passion help me deliver clients with an unequaled level of service. Real estate is one of the largest investments most people make in their lifetime and for that reason, I treat the sale and purchase of real estate as a business and personal matter. My understanding of the details and complexities of the transaction help those that I work with make intelligent and sound decisions. From the modest home to the luxury estate, no home is too big or too small to get my fullest attention.
Our local newspaper, the Register Guard, recently published an article titled Home Sales Jump In February that discusses current market conditions and the optimism among local real estate agents with the rebound in sales.
The March 2009 Regional Multiple Listing Service (RMLS) Market Action Report for the Greater Lane County area reported closed sales grew 34.9% when comparing March 2009 with February 2009. Pending sales were also up 15.1%. New listings also grew 25.1%. Thanks to an increase in sales activity, the active residential properties would last 9.7 months, down 52.9% from a record high of 20.6 months in January 2009. The average sale price increased a slight 0.1% and the median sale price was up 3.1%. Could it be the market in Lane County is beginning to shift?
